TERMS & CONDITIONS

Personal Training & Online Coaching

By purchasing any Personal Training or Online Coaching services from Preston Training, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions. You also acknowledge that participation in physical exercise involves inherent risks.

 

1. Health, Safety & Assumption of Risk

  • Physical training carries inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, joint injury, dizziness, or cardiovascular events.

  • By engaging in services, you confirm that you are medically fit to participate and accept responsibility for monitoring your own physical condition.

  • You agree to stop exercising immediately and inform your coach if you feel unwell, dizzy, or experience pain.

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

 

2. Services Offered

Preston Training provides:

  • One-to-one Personal Training

  • Semi-private Personal Training (where applicable)

  • Online Coaching services

Services may be delivered:

  • In person (home, studio, or agreed location)

  • Virtually (e.g. Zoom or similar platforms)

All services are subject to availability and may be updated as the business evolves.

 

3. Health Screening (PAR-Q)

  • Completion of a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) is mandatory before starting any service.

  • Clients must inform Preston Training of any changes to their health status immediately.

  • Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in suspension of services for safety reasons.

 

4. Membership & Subscription Terms (6-Month Commitment)

  • All Personal Training and Online Coaching services operate on a minimum 6-month membership subscription, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Membership fees are payable via monthly direct debit or agreed payment method.

  • Membership begins on the agreed start date and runs for a minimum of six consecutive months.

  • Early cancellation within the 6-month commitment period is not permitted, except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Preston Training.

 

5. Payments

  • All payments must be made in advance.

  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, direct debit, or PayPal (as agreed).

  • Failure to make payment within 7 days of the due date may result in suspension or termination of services.

  • No refunds are provided for unused sessions or missed services during an active membership.

 

6. Session Credits & Usage (Personal Training)

  • Session credits must be used within the active membership period.

  • Unused sessions do not roll over beyond the membership term unless agreed in writing.

  • Sessions are non-transferable and may not be shared with other individuals.

 

7. Scheduling & Session Slots

  • Clients on an active membership are allocated regular session slots based on availability.

  • Preferred slots are not guaranteed if sessions are missed or prolonged breaks are taken.

  • Preston Training reserves the right to adjust session schedules where necessary, with reasonable notice.

 

8. Cancellations & Missed Sessions

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule any Personal Training session.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the session being charged or deducted.

  • Sessions scheduled on bank holidays or public holidays require 72 hours’ notice for cancellation.

  • Missed sessions without notice are non-refundable and non-transferable.

 

9. Injury & Training Modifications

  • If you are injured or temporarily unable to train as planned, sessions may be adapted where appropriate.

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to modify a session due to injury.

  • Training adaptations are made at the discretion of the coach, prioritising safety.

 

10. Online Coaching Services

Online Coaching may include:

  • Welcome and onboarding materials

  • Lifestyle, nutrition, and training questionnaires

  • A bespoke training programme tailored to your goals

  • Video exercise demonstrations

  • Regular check-ins and progress reviews

Programme content is for personal use only and must not be shared or distributed.

 

11. Missed Check-Ins (Online Coaching)

  • Missed check-ins or reviews do not carry over.

  • If a scheduled check-in is missed, the next check-in will occur at the next planned date.

  • Missed final check-ins at the end of a membership term will not be rescheduled unless the membership is renewed.

 

12. Communication

  • Personal Training aims to respond to messages within 24 hours on weekdays.

  • Response times may be longer during weekends, holidays, or periods of leave.

 

13. Termination of Services

Personal Training reserves the right to suspend or terminate services if:

  • Payments are not made on time

  • Terms & Conditions are breached

  • Programme materials are shared with third parties

  • Behaviour is deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or disrespectful

No refunds will be issued following termination due to breach of terms.

 

14. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing any services from Personal Training, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

  • You agree to comply with all policies

  • You accept responsibility for your participation in physical training

Terms, Conditions & Unsupervised Use Agreement 

This document sets out the Terms & Conditions, Informed Consent, Unsupervised Training Agreement, and Induction Policy for clients using the studio. By purchasing sessions, packs, or accessing the studio, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following.

 

  • 1. Terms & Conditions of Use

1.1 These Terms & Conditions apply to all clients using the studio, whether supervised or unsupervised.
1.2 Access to the studio is granted only to approved clients who have completed an induction.
1.3 Studio access is non-transferable. Clients may not allow any other person to enter or train in the studio.
1.4 Clients must arrive and leave within their booked time slots.
1.5 The studio reserves the right to refuse or withdraw access at any time for safety or policy breaches.
1.6 Equipment must be used only for its intended purpose and returned safely after use.
1.7 The studio owner is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.

 

  • 2. Health Declaration & Informed Consent

2.1 Fitness training involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, muscle strain, joint injury, dizziness, or cardiovascular events.
2.2 Clients confirm that they are medically fit to exercise and have disclosed all relevant health conditions.
2.3 Clients agree to stop exercising immediately if they feel unwell, dizzy, or experience pain.
2.4 Clients accept full responsibility for monitoring their own physical condition during training.
2.5 Nothing in this agreement excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

 

  • 3. Unsupervised Training Agreement

3.1 Unsupervised training means no trainer is present on-site.
3.2 Clients acknowledge they are training at their own risk during unsupervised sessions.
3.3 Clients agree not to attempt new, unfamiliar, or maximal lifts without supervision.
3.4 Clients will only perform exercises previously taught and approved.
3.5 Clients will follow all posted safety rules and instructions.
3.6 Clients accept responsibility for their actions, exercise choices, and load selection.

 

  • 4. Induction Policy

4.1 All clients must complete an in-person induction before unsupervised access is granted.
4.2 The induction includes equipment orientation, emergency procedures, and safety briefing.
4.3 Only clients deemed competent and experienced will be approved for unsupervised access.
4.4 The studio reserves the right to require additional supervised sessions before approval.
4.5 Inductions may be reviewed periodically.

 

  • 5. Emergency & Safety Procedures

5.1 Clients must know the location of emergency exits, first aid kit, and emergency contact details.
5.2 In case of emergency, clients must contact emergency services immediately.
5.3 Accidents or near misses must be reported to the studio owner as soon as possible.

 

  • 6. Acceptance

By booking sessions or accessing the studio, you confirm that:

- You have read and understood this document

- You agree to comply with all terms and policies
- You accept the risks associated with independent exercise

Digital Products:
Included as part of any of the services on the  Online coaching website are delivered via email and you do not have permission to share or sell training programs/nutritional information provided to you with any other parties/persons not working directly with Fit4Life Coach. Fit4Life Coach Personal Training also reserves the right to use images provided during the course of your time with Fit4Life Personal Training for marketing uses. However we will always notify you prior to any images/videos that will be used for permission.
